Within a few minutes walk are the village shop and Post Office, and "The Bee" - the local hostelry which serves fine ales and good food. Outside the Bee is a garden area for summer evening drinks and snacks with the kids. School and children's play area - 400 m.
The National Trust's fabulous Bodnant Gardens are just 1 mile down the road. 80 acres of gardens with its famous laburnum arch - at its best from late May to late June - and magnificent display of magnolias and camelias (in Spring) and rhododendrons (eaarly Summer), together with formal lawns and the natural environment of 'The Dell', Bodnant Gardens is well worth a visit.
You can do numerous walks from the door onto the surrounding rolling hills. Some of these will reward you with beautiful views of Snowdonia. The ancient walled town of Conwy with quaint little streets, harbour and medieval castle and beaches is also very close. Nearby Betws-y-Coed, offers a haven for walking, mountain biking, canoeing, restaurants and craft shops.
The Conway River - from magnficent falls to the wide open estuary at Conwy, there is much to admire. The local market town of Llanrwst has a famous bridge.
In August our annual agricultural and horticultural show is a major North Wales event, even attracting participants from the Royal Welsh Show. Locally:
Eglwysbach is centrally located about 20 minutes from Llandudno, Colwyn Bay and Conwy. Betws-y-Coed is another 5 minutes. Beaches and shops in all these towns. Snowdonia and Anglesey are also within easy reach.
A 24-hour Tesco is about 5 miles. As is a 9 screen cinema.
